Founder of The Friends of the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library in 2005, Janet Ruggiero served as President from 2005 to 2021. Upon the completion of her long leadership term, the Friends celebrate her achievement in establishing a vital organization to support the library.
Janet has been the driving force behind the Friends of the Library for as long as I have been a member (2006?). Her dedication to building a reputable nonprofit in support of the library – a cause very dear to her heart – is unmeasured. On a personal level, Janet always takes the time to ask about my children and family. She is a genuinely caring and kindhearted individual whom I am privileged to know. Dina Meddings
